Target

Target now has some great Gluten Free Casein Free items....I couldn't believe it. Mac loved the Ian's GFCF chicken nuggets and I could only ever find them at Whole Foods. Whole Foods has not had them in maybe 6 months, we found them at Target along with Udi's bread etc. Thanks Target!

Leftover Gluten Free Turkey Pot Pie

I used all of my Thanksgiving leftovers for this!  So yummy!

1 1/2 T Gluten free flour
1/2 t curry
1 T soy butter
2 cups left over veggies of choice-peas, corn, green beans, carrots
3/4 cups Gluten free chicken broth
1/2 cup Casein free milk-soy, rice, coconut
2 cups left over turkey
1 Prepared Gluten Free Pie Crust
Preheat oven to 350, cook pie crust to specifications.
Melt butter in large skillet, stir in flour and curry powder until it comes together. Mix in broth and milk stir into flour mixture. Bring to a boil, salt and pepper, stir in veggies and turkey. Pour into baked pie crust, top with leftover mashed potatoes. Bake for about 15 more minutes.
Serve with naturally Gluten Free Cider!
**Tip-I prefer canned coconut milk for the turkey filling. It is very thick like cream.

Waldo Pizza-Gluten Free Menu

One of our favorite local pizza places, Waldo Pizza in Waldo, has a huge gluten free menu; sandwiches, bread sticks, pizzas and even desserts!  They have gluten free pizza crusts and also gluten free and vegan (no dairy or egg) crusts along with vegan cheese! So perfect for my son Mac who is Gluten and Casein free.

What goes better with pizza than beer? They carry at least three different gluten free beers and one of my favorites is Greens Discovery Amber!!!  Thanks Waldo Pizza!

Jazz-Gluten Free Menu

Jazz a Louisiana Kitchen has a Gluten Free Menu! I went there last week and had the Cajun Stir Fry with Chicken, Shrimp and Beef and a side of new potatoes. It usually comes with rice but the rice must have a roux or something in it as it was not gluten free. Try it out!

Blue Koi

Blue Koi has two KC locations, Leawood and Kansas City. They have an allergy menu that list menu items that are or can be gluten free. Also list items that are or can be peanut free.

I had the house salad and the chicken lettuce wraps!  Yum! Just ask for their Gluten Free menu!
